How can we help?

Everything you need to use Keyword Radar. Start with the Quick Start, or search below.

Getting Started

What is Keyword Radar?
Keyword Radar watches 17 platforms (social media, news, blogs, and forums) and shows you every public mention of the keywords you choose, all in one dashboard. Set a keyword once, pick your platforms, and new mentions land in your dashboard.
Quick start in 3 steps
  1. Create your account.
  2. Create a monitor: type a keyword and pick the platforms to watch.
  3. Wait for the first scan. Mentions appear shortly after, then refresh on a schedule set by your plan.
What is a monitor?
A monitor is one keyword (or phrase) plus the platforms you want to track it on. Create several monitors, one per brand, product, or competitor.

Monitors & Keywords

How do I add a keyword?
Go to Monitors, create a new monitor, type your keyword or phrase, choose platforms, and save. The first scan starts right away.
What does the keyword match against?
We match your keyword in the post title, the body text, and the author's handle or display name. So monitoring "Tesla" also catches posts from @Tesla even when the text does not say Tesla.
Can I use a multi-word phrase?
Yes. A multi-word keyword is matched as a phrase. For broader or narrower matching, use Advanced Search below.
How do I exclude words I do not want?
Use the Exclude terms in Advanced Search (below). Any mention containing an Exclude term is dropped, in every mode.
How do I delete a monitor, or change its keyword or platforms?
Delete a monitor from the Monitors list (you will be asked to confirm). There is no manual pause. A monitor's keyword and platforms are set when you create it and cannot be changed afterward, so to change those, create a new monitor. You can still edit its Advanced Search, Smart Relevance, and alert settings anytime from the monitor page.

Smart Relevance (hide off-topic)

What is Smart Relevance?

Some keywords are ambiguous. “Monitor” could mean a computer screen or your brand. Smart Relevance uses AI to hide off-topic mentions so your dashboard stays clean.

How do I set it up?
When you create or edit a monitor, click "Suggest meanings". Keyword Radar offers a few meanings as chips. Pick up to two, and optionally add a sentence of your own context. That tells the AI what you actually mean.
How do I see or unhide off-topic mentions?
Off-topic mentions are hidden by default. Use the "Hide off-topic" toggle in the filter bar to reveal them. Revealed mentions show an Off-topic badge with the reason. Nothing is deleted, so it is always reversible.

Filtering & Reading Mentions

Where do I see my mentions?
Open any monitor to see its mentions, newest first, each with a snippet, source link, author, and time.
What do the sentiment, intent, and sarcasm badges mean?
Every mention is auto-labeled by AI. Sentiment is positive, negative, or neutral. Intent shows why someone posted: buy, complaint, question, or discussion. On paid plans a reasoning AI also flags sarcasm with a purple Sarcasm badge, so ironic complaints like 'oh great, another outage' aren't misread as praise. Filter the list by sentiment on any plan, and by intent or sarcasm on paid plans (for example, only buying-intent, or only sarcastic, posts).
Why do some mentions look similar?
Each post is stored once, so you never see the exact same post twice. Very similar mentions are usually the same story cross-posted by different accounts or on different platforms, and those are kept as separate entries.
What are the view and engagement numbers?
Where a platform provides it, each mention shows views (eye icon) and engagement (likes plus comments plus shares). Sort by engagement to find the loudest mentions.
How do I filter by language or hide ones I have seen?
Use the filter bar: pick a language, or turn on "Hide viewed" to focus on new mentions. Set a date range to narrow the window.

Platforms

Which platforms can I monitor?
17 platforms: YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter / X, Reddit, Medium, Tumblr, Hacker News, Product Hunt, Mastodon, Bluesky, DEV.to, Substack, Newsdata.io, Lemmy, Nostr, and Blog Search (independent blogs across the web).
Are all platforms on every plan?

Most platforms are on every plan. A few need a higher plan:

How do I choose platforms for a monitor?
Choose them when you create the monitor. Platforms are fixed after creation, so to change them, create a new monitor.

Notifications & Alerts

Will I get email updates?
Yes. Turn on Email Notifications in Settings (a single on/off toggle). When it is on, you get an email digest of new mentions.
What are Instant Alerts?

Instant Alerts email you the moment a mention crosses an engagement threshold you set on a monitor, so you catch viral posts fast.

How do I set it up?

How do I work through leads?
Move each lead through New, Replied, Won, or Ignored as you go.

FAQ

Why am I not seeing mentions yet?
First scans take a little time, and some keywords are simply quieter than others. Check that your keyword is not too narrow and that you picked the right platforms. Remember some platforms need a higher plan.
How often does it refresh?

Automatically, on a schedule set by your plan, from once a day on Free down to near real-time on higher plans. See pricing for exact intervals.

How far back does the first scan look?

It depends on your plan history window, from a few days up to several months. See pricing.

Can I export my mentions?
Export is available on Agency and up.
